About Us

A cozy restaurant interior with natural lighting, wooden ceiling panels, white walls, and a mix of wooden tables and chairs. There is a large window with a view of the street outside, some indoor plants, a wine rack, and wall art. Ceiling fans and recessed lighting enhance the ambiance.

In the late 2000s, four childhood friends returned to their homeland of Bali after years in Melbourne, bringing with them a passion for the coffee and brunch culture they'd fallen in love with abroad. At the time, Sanur was still a quiet fishing village the perfect place to introduce something new.

What started as a modest venture quickly became the go-to spot for locals, expats, and travelers alike, known as the first of its kind in Sanur.

Seven years later, we opened our second home in Ubud, adding to the island's vibrant food scene. Today, Sala Bistro remains a beloved destination for anyone looking for good food, good company, and a taste of comfort in the heart of Bali.
